JC-Leisure lanyards make it to the North Pole!We were on top of the world when we saw this photograph of Philip Howells sporting one of our lanyards at the North Pole.Philip's visit to the North Pole was for an event known as the 6633 Ultra Marathon and which is held mainly in the Arctic Circle in the Yukon and North West Territories of Northern Canada. Philip told us: The phone holder lanyard proved very useful during this event. We took (that is Ed & Phil) part in the 2009 race, which had 120 mile and 350 mile options. The temperatures were often well below -40 degrees centigrade and in these temperatures batteries, for instance, did not last very long. An important use of the phone holder lanyard was therefore to hang cameras inside our clothing next to our skin so the batteries were kept at temperatures where they could last longer – and that’s what made it possible for these pics to be taken! It's good to see that our lanyards are hard wearing enough to stand up to one of the toughest environments in the world. |

FestivalsAs the festival season draws to a close its time to reflect on the highlights, the daddy of them all had an epic line up with golden oldies U2, Morrisey & Primal Scream, perenial favourites Coldplay & Beyonce to hot new things Fleet Foxes & Chipmunk.... a classic year.V was rocking with Eminem, Artic Monkeys & Rhianna.
